Name: Rich Traunero
Funeral Home Name: Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory
Location: Tiffin, OH
Photo Description: Rich standing in front of the private prop airplane he uses to help volunteer organizations.
Favorite ASD Feature: “My favorite ASD feature at the beginning was the fact that every call was recorded and the ability to listen to the actual call was a great benefit to me,” Rich says. “Now, the ASD Mobile version on my Android phone is my favorite. What an easy and convenient way to get messages and be notified of first calls. I love it!”
Favorite Pastime: Volunteer. Funeral Director. Pilot. Animal Lover. Humanitarian. These are all words that can be used to describe Rich Traunero. After becoming a private pilot in 1992, Rich searched for a way to help others with his favorite pastime. He joined up with the group Pilots N Paws, which helps animals in danger of euthanization by transporting them to foster or forever homes in other locations. Rich also worked with Angel Flight and Lifeline Pilots, human compassionate groups that help patients and families travel to treatment or diagnosis locations free of charge.
“It is very rewarding work,” Rich says. “And goes hand in hand with my work as a funeral director.”
We’re happy to learn about these wonderful and important organizations thanks to Rich. We’d also like to commend him for using his skills and training to help those in need. Thank you Rich for allowing us to share your pastime this month!
