Jan 23, 2014

ASD’s CE class event

On Thursday, January 16, ASD hosted Continuing Education classes in our conference room to help PA funeral directors earn their required credits before the approaching deadline. More than 50 funeral professionals from all across the state attended our CE event, earn their credits in our office and hear ASD Family-Member Owner, Kevin Czachor, speak about funeral home communications. Thank you to everyone who attended – we plan to host more CE classes in our offices in the near future for funeral directors licensed in nearby states.

Here are some photos of the CE classes and from ASD Family-Member Owner, Kevin Czachor’s, presentation:

ASD Mobile Update for Apple Users

We just updated the ASD Mobile app for iPhones, iPads and iPods to include some new and exciting features. The new update allows you to add notes to messages for other directors to let them know how a message was handled or view any notes that were left by your staff. The update also allows you to easily fast forward or rewind messages by dragging the slider with your finger. Explore our new features and let us know what you think! Our technical team is working to add these features to our Android app as well. This will be the last Apple update we make to ASD Mobile before we rewrite our program so that it is consistent with the look and design of iOS7.

ASD on the Road

Will you be attending the upcoming National Funeral Directors Association – Cremation Association of North America’s Cremation Symposium conference in Las Vegas? ASD Sales Account Manager, Stephanie Bradford, and Supervisor, Will Chicola, would love to see you there. Stop by Table #21 to say hi and to learn about the new features ASD is working to develop in 2014.

Funeral Director Facts

Starting this week, ASD will be sharing interesting #FuneralDirectorFacts that most people don’t know on our Facebook and Twitter. We hope these will help educate the general public about dedication and committment of funeral professionals.

Operations Director, Ric Cusumano, Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary with ASD

Last week, we celebrated the 30th Anniversary of our Operations Director, Ric Cusumano. Ric’s excellent work and outstanding leadership have helped ASD become the company it is today. His management of the daily challenges with ASD’s staff, system and processes have allowed our company to provide the highest level of support to the funeral directors we serve. Thank you Ric for all of your hard work and dedication over the past three decades!

Winter Storm Janus

Earlier this week, our town was hit with the wrath of Winter Storm Janus, which dumped more than a foot of snow on the Northeast. At ASD, we know that our clients rely on us more than ever during major weather events, which is why we take every precaution to provide your firm with seamless telephone protection through any storm. We leave nothing to chance when it comes to protecting your sensitive phone calls. Click here to read our blog post from earlier this week to learn how we have increased our safeguards and redundancies over the past several years to provide funeral professionals with seamless telephone protection during storms like Janus.

Thanks for reading our weekly news blog post. Please leave a comment below if there is anything in this post you would like to learn more about.
