ICCFA Convention Recap

Apr 17, 2013

ASD would like to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by our Booth at the ICCFA convention last week and made our time in Tampa so special. The ASD team had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones while learning about the latest trends affecting the funeral profession. If you weren’t able to attend the show, we hope to see you later this year as we travel to more than 20 cities across the United States.

Check out our highlights from Tampa and what you can expect to see at future shows:

LIVE Demos of ASD Mobile and our Technology Features

One of the things we discovered while attending the ICCFA Convention was that there was still a large number of funeral directors who were unaware of everything the ASD Mobile app could do. ASD National Sales Manager, Jason Bathurst, demonstrated at our booth how ASD Mobile can be used to perform multiple functions and offered tips on the most efficient ways to utilize the app. For instance, did you know Push Notifications provide more convenience and control than text-messages? (To learn more, click here).

ASD was proud to be featured on the New Product Showcase wall at the ICCFA convention for our Smartphone App, ASD Mobile. As more funeral professionals download the app every day, we will continue to enhance your experience using our app. Over the next few months, ASD will be creating tutorial videos of our app to help you better understand how to utilize all of the features and options available. Be sure to check back for more details.

An Opportunity to Give Us Feedback in Person

ASD’s Supervisors are available 24/7 to offer you support and listen to your suggestions. However, only at a convention do you have an opportunity to give feedback to us in person and watch ASD’s Team Members update your account right on the trade show floor! Come to our booth with suggestions, ideas and tips to help us enhance your experience using our service. We would love to hear your feedback and will do everything possible to accomodate your needs.

A special thank you to Russ Harman at Berardinelli Family Funeral Service for stopping by our booth and talking to us about his idea for enhancing ASD Mobile with mapping technology. Our Technology team is currently looking into this option now and we hope to have more information soon.

Exciting Prizes

We are always on the hunt for gifts and prizes to give to funeral professionals. Our raffle at the ICCFA convention was busier than ever this year thanks to our exciting prizes. Congratulations to the following winners:

Congratulations to Joseph Paquelet (“Bud”) from Paquelet Funeral Home on winning the FREE iPAD ASD raffled off the first day of the ICCFA convention.

Congratulations to Janet Warren from J.Warren Funeral Services on winning the 2nd FREE iPad we raffled off.

Congratulations to Janis Diamond at Greenlawn Funeral Home & Cemetery on winning the last FREE iPad ASD raffled off at the ICCFA Convention, and to JoAnne Hogan, Scott Kundinger and Kerry Boshers who took home Bamboo keyboards from ASD.

A Brand New Booth

In 2012, to commemorate our 40th Anniversary year, ASD redesigned our logo so we could feature some of the real employees who have demonstrated their commitment to the company for many years. Our new booth displays reflect the evolution of our company and the commitment of our team members. We also redesigned the look of our booth to make it easier and more convenient to find us in the exhibit hall, so just keep your eyes out for a familiar face if we’re visiting your city.

Thank you to Nancy Lohman, President of the ICCFA, for spending time at our booth last week and for sending us this great photo of her with Project Manager Lauren Kress and Family-Member Owner Kathy Kelley. We had a wonderful time in Tampa!
