ASD’s Favorite Pastime Series: DeVoe Funeral Service

Aug 21, 2014

Names: Mark DeVoe
Funeral Home Name: DeVoe Funeral Service
Location: Washington, NJ
Photo Description: Funeral Director, Mark Devoe, cheers on his favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees, from the bleachers.
ASD Client since 2010
Favorite Pastime: Mark has been sitting with the “Bleacher Creatures” since the 2010 season when he discovered it was the best place at the Yankees ballpark to find diehard fans. According to Mark, a “Bleacher Creature” is “not just any hardcore baseball fan, but a Section 203 Bleacher Hardcore fan.” Mark has been published in two Bleacher Creature books and has even made ESPN and WNBC Channel 4 Sports several times. He has been a baseball fan since 1965 and has attended hundreds of games over the years.

“Now I must confess my profession gets in the way of one of my passions. So maybe I am not a full time Creature. But I make whatever games I can get to,” Mark says. “Thanks ASD for letting me share this story. I always feel comfortable when I am at the game knowing my phones will be answered by my “staff-like” people.”

Thank YOU Mark for sharing your favorite pastime with us.
