Solicitor Shield Blocks 7,500 Robo Calls In 7 Hours!

Everyone hates answering their phone only to discover it is a recorded solicitation. The only thing worse is having to pay for someone to answer that annoying robo call. On an average day, ASD blocks approximately 1,700 phone calls from automated scammers using our patent-pending Solicitor Shield feature. Last week, this tool became even more crucial when it blocked more than 7,500 of these calls in a seven-hour period.

By blocking robo calls, ASD is able to focus entirely on the sensitive needs of actual callers. It also helps our clients avoid being charged for calls from automated recordings. Currently, ASD answers 90 percent of all calls by the first ring and 98 percent by the fourth ring. Solicitor Shield helps us to forecast our call volume in advance and schedule accordingly, allowing ASD’s Call Specialists to answer calls at a faster rate than other call centers. This powerful spam-blocker can also be used individually, allowing you to block  phone numbers from scammers that routinely call your funeral home. To enable, log in to your ASD account, click on Settings, then click ‘Edit Solicitor Shield Settings.’

ASD’s Sensitive Save of the Week

When a First Call comes in, ASD Call Specialists are specifically trained to reassure hesitant callers that a funeral director is always available during their time of need. If a family is contacting a funeral home for the first time, it is common for them to be unsure of the terminology to use or unaware of how responsive funeral directors are. This week, our Assistant Supervisor, Margarita, offered to reach a director for a family member in need and the woman stated, “I’ll call back another time. This is a first inquiry. They wouldn’t recognize the name.” Margarita helped ease the woman’s doubts by explaining how the director would want to talk to her immediately and was then able to gather contact information to reach the on-call. Margarita is this week’s “Sensitive Save of the Week” Winner.
