Jul 17, 2012

“ASD Mobile For Android” Beta Testing Has Begun!

We are excited to announce the launch of our Beta Testing Program for the “ASD Mobile for Android” app. Directors that have expressed an interest or requested an ASD Android app were sent a link this morning to download the first version of ASD Mobile app for the Android platform. This full featured app is a mobilized solution to help directors manage every aspect of their ASD accounts.

Our exclusive Beta Testing group will help us to enhance the app and ensure it is fully functional on all Android devices. If you would like to join our Beta Testing Group and did not receive your download email, please leave a comment on this blog or send an email to jess.fowler@myASD.com. Once the “ASD Mobile for Android” app has been fully tested it will be available for all of our clients to download in the Google Play store.

ASD on the Road

ASD is headed back on the road this week to meet funeral professionals at conventions in Florida and Virginia. Our clients are some of the kindest, hardest working people around and it is a wonderful opportunity to be able to meet in person so many of the funeral professionals that we have been speaking to for years. After every convention, ASD team members return with a better perspective on the challenges facing funeral directors today and ideas for how to improve your experience with our service. It has been incredibly rewarding for us to meet and get to know our clients face-to-face and collect so much feedback to share with our staff. We hope to see you in the coming months! Be sure to check our blog and facebook page for updates on ASD’s convention schedule and booth numbers.

Outstanding Service Awards

Each week, ASD recognizes four employees with an “Outstanding Service Award.” This special recognition is given to the ASD Staff who exhibit the sensitivity and attention to detail that set ASD apart from other answering services. Here are some recent “Outstanding Service Award” winners:

► Training Specialist, Alana, determined a caller who didn’t want to leave a phone number was calling to report a passing. Alana asked crucial follow up questions to discover the true reason for the call.
► Call Specialist, Ayiana, compassionately assisted a caller who had just found out about the loss of her father
►Training Specialist, Kim, handled a call from another funeral director who initially wanted to hang up and call a different funeral home. Kim was able to convince the call to provide a contact number.
►Call Specialist, Jim, patiently relayed information to another answering service that repeatedly put him on hold
