ASD’s Favorite Pastime Series: Abell Funeral Home

Oct 24, 2013

Name: Todd Abell
Funeral Home Name: Abell Funeral Homes
Location: Abernathy and Hale Center, TX
Photo Description: Funeral Director, Todd Abell, with his grandson, Braeden Abell, after running a half-marathon in Disney World. Todd has been running in marathons and charity “fun runs” for 13 years.
Favorite ASD Feature: “My favorite part of ASD is the way each call is always handled with professionalism,” Todd says. “And I love the convenience of the ASD Mobile app!”
Favorite Pastime: Todd enjoys marathon running and has participated in numerous charity “fun runs”. He ran his first 1/1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) in San Antonio, TX in 2009 and has also run half marathons at Disney World, Disney Land and in Austin, TX. Running is a pastime shared by the family—Todd’s son Keelan often participates in the marathon events as well.
Running has become a passion for me, I can get away from the phones, and just have some time to think…..and gasp for oxygen,” Todd says. “I enjoy starting my day with morning runs, anywhere from 5:00 am to 6:30 am, and do an average of 5-8 miles.”

Thank you to Todd Abell for allowing us to feature you in our blog this month.
