ASD Employee Spotlight: Rosemary

Feb 04, 2015

Senior Call Specialist, Rosemary, has been a dedicated employee at ASD for more than 8 years. She first joined the ASD team in 2007 shortly after our company moved to our current location in Media. Rosemary’s natural ability to speak gently and empathetically with the bereaved has made her a valuable asset to our company. In addition to the comfort Rosemary offers to funeral home callers, she is also incredibly kind and thoughtful towards everyone she works with. Rosemary has proven her dedication to the company time and time again, both through her excellent phone demeanor and reliable attendance. In 2014, she maintained perfect attendance throughout the entire year. We are proud to feature Rosemary as this month’s Employee Spotlight.”

What do you find rewarding about your job here at ASD?

I find it rewarding to be able to help callers in their most difficult times and to provide comfort and assurance to families. It is also rewarding to gather accurate information while representing funeral directors all over the country.

How has ASD changed since you first started?

The technology and growth we have experienced is the biggest change. We have a lot of flexibility now. We have also expanded our facilities with upgrades to seating and a nice employee lounge for everyone here.

Are there any funeral directors that stick out in your mind as clients you really enjoy working with?

Matt Quigley, a director at Videon Givnish Life Celebration Home in Drexel Hill, PA. Matt is always a gentleman and he’s very personable. He appreciates our service as an integral part of his work.

What was one of your most difficult calls and how did you help this caller?

There was a woman who had tearfully relayed the passing of her son who was close in age to one of my children. She said that her conversation with me was so comforting and I felt I made a difference in such a tragedy.

What are some of your personal hobbies and interests outside of ASD?

I enjoy vacationing to the beach with my family, kayaking, boating and attending jewelry and art auctions.

Each month, ASD will feature a different employee on our blog. Be sure to check back to see who March’s Employee Spotlight will feature.
