ASD on the Road: NFDA/CANA Convention Recap
This week, ASD attended the National Funeral Directors Association and Cremation Association of North America's annual convention. This years' convention boasted higher than average attendance and ASD was delighted to meet the many funeral professionals and industry leaders who traveled to Chicago from around the country. After every convention, ASD team members return with a better perspective on the challenges facing funeral directors today and ideas for how to improve your experience with our service.
2011 has been an exciting year at ASD. With the introduction of our Rewards Program, clients can take advantage of exclusive discounts and savings by working with some of the most respected names in the industry. At the NFDA/CANA convention, we were fortunate to have an opportunity to introduce many funeral professionals to our Rewards Partners and to answer questions about the program's benefits. ASD's technology partners were also in attendance and provided information on ASD's FuneralSync feature, which simplifies data entry tasks for directors by integrating our systems with funeral home software and website providers.
Many clients were interested in ASD's new Floral Rewards Program, which provides funeral directors with added control of their after hour floral orders. Using this program, Funeral Professionals can significantly reduce their ASD bill while guaranteeing more business for their local preferred florist. We received wonderful feedback from directors currently using the program while many others asked to have it activated right on the spot.

Kevin was honored as a Business Exchange Exhibitor at the convention and gave a presentation to funeral professionals on how to use telecommunications to manage and grow their funeral home business. The session focused on how funeral homes can expand their client base and improve customer service by utilizing the latest advancements in telecommunications. Kevin provided attendees with technical solutions to help conduct their business on the go without sacrificing the quality of service provided to families. As the Vice President of ASD, Kevin has developed mobile strategies for a quarter of the nation's funeral homes.
Funeral Director Jon Reichmuth of Reichmuth Funeral Home was the winner of ASD's raffle prize: a flat-screen LG television. Some other highlights from the NFDA/CANA convention included a demo of ASD's iPhone application, which will be beta tested by clients in the coming weeks. ASD staff would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth and helped to make this convention bigger and better than ever.
