ASD on the Road

This year, ASD is attending more funeral home conventions than we have any other year. Our clients are some of the kindest, hardest working people around and it is a wonderful opportunity to be able to meet in person so many of the funeral professionals that we have been speaking to for years. This month, our team has already attended trade shows in Arizona, Texas, and Pennsylvania. We are currently on the road at the WFDA convention in Milwaukee, WI as well as the WPFDA convention in Erie, PA this week. We will travel to Virginia and California at the end of the month, and look forward to more shows later in the year.

I have worked for ASD for over 8 years and so many of the funeral professionals I speak to feel like friends after the many occasions we have spoken. So, it was a true blessing to be able to attend my first trade show last week. At the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association’s convention, I was able to meet so many of these sweet, funny and intelligent individuals face-to-face. Some of the highlights included speaking to Stephen Hall and Patti Krow at Trefz and Bowser Funeral Home, a firm I interviewed last year for an article, showing a demo of ASD Mobile to a client who had just purchased his iPhone that week, and meeting some of our wonderful Rewards Partners for the first time, like Amy at Farnsworth Gowns. I am grateful for this experience and for the many directors that took the time to stop by our booth and say a kind word to show their support for ASD.

After every convention, ASD team members return with a better perspective on the challenges facing funeral directors today and ideas for how to improve your experience with our service. It has been incredibly rewarding for us to meet and get to know our clients and collect so much feedback to share with our staff. We hope to see you in the coming months! Be sure to check our blog and facebook page for updates on ASD’s convention schedule and booth numbers.
