We are thrilled to announce that ASD Mobile 2, our powerful iPhone application, was recently chosen as a finalist by the National Funeral Directors Association for the 2012 NFDA Innovation Award. This prestigious award is given annually to a funeral service vendor whose product or service was introduced during the previous year and represents creativity, innovation and excellence.
A distinguished panel of judges selected ASD Mobile 2 as one of the five finalists for the award. The winner will be announced at the Opening General Session of the NFDA 2012 International Convention & Expo in October after the funeral service community has an opportunity to cast their vote online. Online voting will begin July 16 and ends September 14 on the NFDA Business Exchange website. If you are an ASD Mobile 2 user, we hope we can count on your support in the online voting challenge.
Since we introduced ASD Mobile in December 2011, it has been downloaded by over 3,000 funeral professionals and has received more than 40 Five-Star Reviews on the Apple iTunes Store—exceeding all other mobile apps created for the funeral profession. Many of the reviews posted by our clients describe how the app has transformed how their funeral home conducts business. Owners and part-time staff alike rely on ASD Mobile 2 to send and receive information while on the go.

When designing the app, our technical team realized that funeral directors required more than just a scaled down version of ASD’s website. With break-through push notification technology, the ASD Mobile 2 app functions as a two-way channel capable of transmitting and receiving information. Messages are immediately “pushed” to your device through the app with little effort required. With ASD Mobile 2, you have one-touch access to send service or on-call information and can monitor all incoming telephone activity without being tethered to a physical location.
